Back into the valley
After the smaller study a week or so ago I attempted a larger version in watercolour, this one is 66 x 22.5cm. I’m still pondering and dithering as to whether this is the final version or whether it should be in oils π Actually, I quite like the left hand wall so maybe I won’t try again. I started a pen & ink drawing of Rannerdale Knotts as it’s a view I’ve not tried before. So obviously I picked up the watercolours for this pen & ink π anyway, after a bit of splashing paint around I had finished and wasn’t to annoyed by the result which was a nice change. I took a quick scan of it then went to work. Now I look at it on the computer I’m not sure why I thought it was okay, time to go back to the drawing board…
