I set out this morning to take a couple of early photographs, it wasn’t too early to be out but it was cold. Still, I ended up getting carried away just a bit and decided to try for a panoramic of the stars & planets above the Eden Valley. There was the odd bit of cloud about but not enough to stop me trying, photographing the panoramic took only a few minutes, stitching it together was another matter π click on photograph above for larger version.

I watched the clouds rolling by this morning before the Sun started to really brighten the sky, then I thought I should really make another timelapse of the dawn, so here it is…. Then I took a few still images π

I woke fairly early and decided to check the sky, as it was clear I popped out into the garden in the hope of photographing comet Ison. I managed a few ‘star’ photographs before the cloud started to play games, the horizon was clear one minute and obscured the next. I’ve yet to check all the photographs for Ison, but I did like this one star pic. In between looking for Ison I turned the camera towards the Moon. After a while I watched the clouds more than the stars…

As I wandered round the fields with Hugo this morning I decided it would be fun to take a large panoramic π Of course when I was back home stitching it together I thought it would be fun to play around with it a bit… As I was looking at this polar shot on the screen I decided that it would make a good eye… There’s a zoomable version of the panoramic here.
