Driving home from work the other morning the valley below was starting to fill with mist. Bleary eyed from work and in need of a sleep I couldn’t resist the temptation to stop and watch the mist build up around the trees, filling small gullies before flowing out over the fields. Thankfully I had a camera with me, so managed a few images before deciding I really should get home and sleep. I’ll only post one image here, the rest I’m using for ‘Shire’ reference pieces π

Our breakfast this morning was cut short when we noticed the sky turn an interesting colour, so we grabbed our wellies, camera, and popped down to the pond for a quick photograph.

Fvgit inreparabile tempvs – well time may be irretrievable, but at least we can record some of it as it passes us by. I was out yesterday for my morning wander before the Sun popped up over the Pennines, it was pleasant wandering in the moonlight with the wind shaking the trees just enough to dislodge a leaf or two and make the clouds hurtle by. So enjoyable was the experience that I returned home, grabbed the camera and tripod and decided to take a couple of photographs… I know…

Wandering the lanes and fields this morning I paused to watch this bird wheel above the barley field, all I could hear was the wind rustling the leaves and long grass. The sense of freedom was almost akin to what the bird must feel up there π
