We had a run out today and paused for a wander by Ribblehead Viaduct; Victorian architecture on this scale is amazing, no computers, no huge powered cranes, yet they still managed to build a structure that is still going strong today. On our way home I stopped to take a couple of photographs of a waterfall, well, it would have been wrong not to 😉

A bit of water
I was intending taking some larger landscapes today, but we were stuck in fog and murk all day. Eventually I decided to wander down to a small waterfall and take a few photographs. I could not decide whether to leave this one in colour or black and white, so I’ve uploaded both, some will like the colour, some the b&w. I paused halfway through taking the photographs and wondered for a moment how I was going to get out again having half slid down down moss and ice covered stones…

It’s perhaps a little early in the year to be getting wet feet, but sometimes you don’t get much choice in the matter. I decided to investigate a small waterfall which is just over a dry stone wall down the lane, given the amount of rain we’d had lately it was bubbling away nicely and a visit with the camera was in order.
