So, I finally completed the pen & ink of Ilmarin, it’s a version 1 of Ilmarin anyway as during the inking stage I had a few more ideas as to how the building should look.

Next I’m going to try and colour the pen & ink in Photoshop elephants, one day I’ll afford the full version, but for now adding a colour or two should be possible

I did change my mind and started a pen & ink the other night, it’s A3 which is a big mistake (as there’s a lot to cover and hard to get online ;-)) Anyway, this is the start of the ink stage

I was really starting to wonder if I should give up on illustrating Ilmarin, then a scribble turned out better than I’d hoped and ideas started to become a bit more solid. The final sketch is one I may well develop into the final painting (or I could change my mind again).
