Had a wander this morning watching the mist rise from the water, I should have had the tripod with me too

Wandering

This morning there was mist in the valley and it felt fresh outside, which was perfect for a wander with the dog (and of course the camera ;-)).

Though I think Hugo may have started to wonder if I’d put the camera away and carry on with the morning wander at some point

I decided to leave the house a bit earlier than usual in order to watch the Sun rise. It was quite nice to spend a quiet moment down by the river watching the mist swirl above it. Once the Sun appeared it was time to vanish off to work, though I did stop a couple of times to see how the mist filled the valley below.

Lack of sleep

I should have been sleeping this morning, having just finished a run of night shifts I certainly felt the need, but as we had somewhere we had to be I decided coffee and a walk would be just as good as sleep.

As we neared the halfway point I noticed a few rays from the early morning Sun popping out from behind the clouds, so I stole Julie’s camera (I’d forgotten mine) and took a couple of quick photographs.

So, it just goes to show that missing a bit of sleep can be worth it at times, it also shows the power of coffee
