Fast forward to a few weeks ago and I was thinking of making a gift for a friend and the writing slope from the book sprang to mind, the design changed a bit from the one in the book but that’s just how it goes sometimes. The majority of the wood for the project was Yew, and it was a challenge at times to work with but the end result was worth it. Finished dimensions 21.5cm wide 8cm high (at the back) and 37cm front to back.
