TinĂșviel was dancing there.

This morning I was trying to sketch, but inspiration had given me a wide berth so I decided to take a break and go for a wander. As I walked over the small bridge and into the wood I noticed a patch of light and it reminded me of Ted Nasmith’s illustration of LĂșthien TinĂșviel from J. R. R. Tolkien’s Silmarillion (though most folk that read this website will probably know that anyway ;-)). Anyway, there was no sign of LĂșthien when I took this photo, and Beren was obviously off…

Through the Gap

I took a different route the other day for my wander, on that wander I noticed a view which I thought “that might make a nice photograph”. There were a couple of drawbacks though, firstly the light was terrible and the air filled with drizzle, secondly and probably more importantly I didn’t have my camera on me.
