Distracted by the light
Well, what’s new. I’d intended painting this morning, then I started to watch the sky and before I had time to think about much at all I was outside with the camera 🙂 I realize I take a large number of dawn photographs, but the start of a new day always inspires me.

After my spell earlier today photographing the Moon and ISS I thought my camera would be left in the bag for the rest of the day. Then I noticed how the clouds looked over the Pennines and there was no way I could leave the camera idle 😉

Yesterday we had a drive out West, we’d hoped for some interesting cloud/light combinations but instead it was all flat grey on the way through. Driving back the light was fading but I didn’t want to not take a photograph and so I settled for this view, I did not have a tripod with me and the light wasn’t brilliant so I rested the camera on the car roof 😉 This morning the cloud looked like it was going to cover the entire sky after looking fairly promising early on,…
