The Arrow

Whilst out for a bit of a wander this morning I noticed this lump of stone beside the lane, now I’ve walked along this lane nearly every day for a decade or so and never noticed the markings on top of the stone – Now to me, and probably no one else, I immediately spotted an arrow pointing off into the next field. Morning walks…

We went for an early walk this morning, well we left the car as it was starting to get light and headed for the memorial to Charles II where he supposedly stopped and drank water with his troops – that was the plan, however the monument was not where we thought it was and we spent a while wandering about before returning to the car 😉

I love the smell of crap in a morning….

…or do I? Well no to be honest with you. It’s one of the few downsides of living out of town, around this time of year the tractors arrive and start spreading the crap all over the fields; it used to be they’d apply one layer and go away – now they spread layer after layer until even when you are shut inside and have the windows shut you can almost taste the smell.
