Driving home from my last night shift of the week and the sunrise was really distracting, the desire to sleep was pushed aside by the desire to take a photograph or two. A short distance from work the Sun was already poking above the Pennines but there was little in the foreground that was working so I carried on resigned to the fact that it wasn’t working today. Wizards go a wandering
Trying to get ideas together for a painting, or maybe I should just say doodling for inspiration π Anyway, this is a digital doodle of the two blue wizards briefly mentioned by Tolkien and pondered about by many ever since π Not happy with the first wizards colour, well it may grow on me, and perhaps I should change one of the hats….. first of all though I’ll collapse and sleep for an hour or three.

The only benefit I can see for working silly hours is the sights you see driving too and from work. My journey home this morning was quiet (as most sensible folk were in bed), and the views inspiring. I almost wish I didn’t need to sleep so I could get to painting a misty Shire scene, as it is I’ll post the photographs from my drive home and then crash out for a few hours.
