Driving home from my last night shift of the week and the sunrise was really distracting, the desire to sleep was pushed aside by the desire to take a photograph or two. A short distance from work the Sun was already poking above the Pennines but there was little in the foreground that was working so I carried on resigned to the fact that it wasn’t working today. Then I realised that as I went down towards the river Eden the Sun wouldn’t be as high in the sky so I drove round to the bridge over the Eden at Lazonby and managed a few shots before deciding I really should go home 😉
