I thought I’d paint another landscape as it’s been a while since I’ve worked on one, so I decided on the view looking down over Buttermere and Crummock. The intention when I started was to block a few areas in with acrylic to get the feel of the piece then finish it in oils, in the end I used acrylics for the entire painting as it was ‘working’ at the time. As with the majority of paintings I’ve completed for the last few years has soon as I signed it I didn’t like it 😉 Weird how the brain works sometimes.
