Went for an early morning wander and spent a little bit of time watching the patches of light come and go amongst the trees. It’s quite interesting to watch how quickly things change as the Sun climbs above the horizon creating different patterns as its rays pass through the branches and leaves. Maybe one day I’ll manage a time lapse of it.

Following the sketch of High Snockrigg and Others (link) I decided to try a small watercolour of the scene. It became a little frustrating not getting chance to properly do all the trees as I kept pausing to do other things, next time I may do the smaller trees differently, but generally I thought the result was acceptable.
