I was intending taking some larger landscapes today, but we were stuck in fog and murk all day. Eventually I decided to wander down to a small waterfall and take a few photographs. I could not decide whether to leave this one in colour or black and white, so I’ve uploaded both, some will like the colour, some the b&w. Arriving at Bag End
Four dwarves arriving at Bag End, straight from the book π I may paint them differently in twelve months of course π This was a large watercolour which I stopped and started too many times, lost my way, forgot what I was doing, but I got there in the end π (The majority is watercolour, but there’s a touch of gouache, some coloured pencil, and a bit of Photoshop included for good measure).

I went down to the River Eden at Langwathby this morning to see how it looked in the moonlight. Mist was rising from the water and the Moon was silhouetted behind the trees on the river bank, the only sound I could hear was a few ducks muttering away on the far bank.
