Out on my morning wander I decided to take a low angled view of the dew covered grass, ended up getting a bit wet but quite liked the result 😉

Driving home this morning from a quick trip into the Lakes, we took a looping route back home and stopped to take a photo of the Howgills as they don’t get the attention they deserve really 😉 The name ‘Howgill’ is another old one, it derives from the Old Norse Haugr which means hill or barrow, and Gil which means narrow valley.

Driving home this morning I decided to take a couple of photographs to show how bad light pollution in this area has become. Farms are now lit up brighter than Blackpool and Penrith is bathed in such a horrendous glow I’m surprised there’s any wildlife left.
