After the smaller study a week or so ago I attempted a larger version in watercolour, this one is 66 x 22.5cm. I’m still pondering and dithering as to whether this is the final version or whether it should be in oils 😉 Actually, I quite like the left hand wall so maybe I won’t try again. I had a scrap of illustration board lying around so I decided to practice a landscape in watercolour, well, I’ve been painting quite a few night scenes lately something in daylight was in order 😉 . I’ve never tried one of Great Dun Fell before so I picked that as a subject. It’s one I need to revisit soon.
