Avebury

Although we had never been to Uffington White Horse before we had visited Avebury many years ago now. Uffington White Horse

For some reason we both thought we’d visited Uffington White Horse the last time we were in the area, but as we drove towards it we realised that we’d never seen it in real life before. Parking up we had to run the gauntlet of the National Trust warden trying to get us to sign up as members so we could park for free :-/ but we resisted and paid to park instead. Kelmscott Manor

During our trip away we discovered that our site wasn’t too far from Kelmscott Manor, the Cotswold retreat of William Morris and Co. The Manor is only open a couple of times a week so we decided to reschedule a few things so we could fit it into our trip.
