This morning I was trying to sketch, but inspiration had given me a wide berth so I decided to take a break and go for a wander. As I walked over the small bridge and into the wood I noticed a patch of light and it reminded me of Ted Nasmith’s illustration of Lúthien Tinúviel from J. R. R. Through the Gap

I took a different route the other day for my wander, on that wander I noticed a view which I thought “that might make a nice photograph”. There were a couple of drawbacks though, firstly the light was terrible and the air filled with drizzle, secondly and probably more importantly I didn’t have my camera on me. Keep on turning

Or, Oh No I turned an Ent! This morning I decided to start sorting out the new workshop, it’s not the most exciting of jobs but needed doing. After a while of moving boxes of tools, stacking wood….. I put the lathe together and found a suitable place for it. Then I wondered if it still worked as it had been a while since it turned anything.
