Tinúviel was dancing there.
This morning I was trying to sketch, but inspiration had given me a wide berth so I decided to take a break and go for a wander. As I walked over the small bridge and into the wood I noticed a patch of light and it reminded me of Ted Nasmith’s illustration of Lúthien Tinúviel from J. R. R. Tolkien’s Silmarillion (though most folk that read this website will probably know that anyway ;-)). Anyway, there was no sign of Lúthien when I took this photo, and Beren was obviously off…

I took a different route the other day for my wander, on that wander I noticed a view which I thought “that might make a nice photograph”. There were a couple of drawbacks though, firstly the light was terrible and the air filled with drizzle, secondly and probably more importantly I didn’t have my camera on me. Or, Oh No I turned an Ent! This morning I decided to start sorting out the new workshop, it’s not the most exciting of jobs but needed doing. After a while of moving boxes of tools, stacking wood….. I put the lathe together and found a suitable place for it. Then I wondered if it still worked as it had been a while since it turned anything.
