Side tables
It took a bit longer than I anticipated but I’ve finally managed to finish the two side tables to go with the coffee table that was completed in August. I only took a photo of one, but then the other just the same π

We decided we should have some side tables and a coffee table to match the Morris chair from 2015, since the chair I’ve moved workshops and house π It’s taken a while to get to this stage, not having a great deal of spare time to get into the workshop but after much whittling of large oak boards, the coffee table is now finished.

I’ve had a piece of Oak burr that I’d wanted to do something different with for a while, every time I picked it up nothing suggested itself, then I decided it would make a nice lid for a small box. As our Silver Wedding anniversary was coming up I made it into a gift for my much better half π the burr had quite a few gaps in the grain so these were filled with powered brass mixed with resin. The sides are made from yew with walnut pegged joints.
