This evening we had a quick run out to Long Meg stone circle, yes, we were just there the other day but Venus & Jupiter were looking good and the Moon was breaking through the cloud. So thick jacket on, we parked up and I wandered about the stones. It’s hard to relate the sense of magic and wonder you feel wandering around a moonlit stone circle with the stars and planets above. To add to the effect the owls started to twit and twoo in the nearby wood 🙂…

At the end of the day
We took a run down by Long Meg and her Daughters stone circle this evening as the sun was heading towards the horizon. I was nice to spend an hour or so wandering about with the Moon riding high above the stones and the sun setting behind the distant hills.

We had a run out today and paused for a wander by Ribblehead Viaduct; Victorian architecture on this scale is amazing, no computers, no huge powered cranes, yet they still managed to build a structure that is still going strong today. On our way home I stopped to take a couple of photographs of a waterfall, well, it would have been wrong not to 😉
