Uffington White Horse

For some reason we both thought we’d visited Uffington White Horse the last time we were in the area, but as we drove towards it we realised that we’d never seen it in real life before. Parking up we had to run the gauntlet of the National Trust warden trying to get us to sign up as members so we could park for free :-/ but we resisted and paid to park instead. Playing the Fringe

We visited Edinburgh last weekend to see a show or two at the Fringe, while we were there and wandering around we spotted this guy playing a whistle and entertaining the crowd ‘old style’ πŸ˜‰ I decided to take a quick photograph for reference purposes thinking it would work in an illustration one day. When I’d uploaded it to the computer I decided to play with it in Photoshop and ended up liking the result πŸ™‚

Diverting

Driving home from my last night shift of the week and the sunrise was really distracting, the desire to sleep was pushed aside by the desire to take a photograph or two. A short distance from work the Sun was already poking above the Pennines but there was little in the foreground that was working so I carried on resigned to the fact that it wasn’t working today.
