We went to watch the Tour of Britain zoom past yesterday, and zoom past they did, it was fun to see though.

Stars and Fells
We had a run out last night to have a starlit drive through the Lakes, okay, I turned the headlights on when it became dark as driving by starlight was proving difficult 😉 We did pause a couple of times, and I liked the look of the stars just starting to appear in the sky above Buttermere and Crummock (photo from halfway up Honister). Given it is supposed to be summer we’ve had far too many cloudy grey sky days recently. I’d been hoping for some nice summer days to get out with the camera and sketch book, and whilst there have been some nice days they’ve been too few for my liking 😉 So, given the weather wasn’t playing nice I decided to make the best of it and try to use the clouds and patchy light to my advantage.
