I didn’t think a month after making a box for Kai’s ashes I would be making one for our Hugo’s ashes, I’m calling this his temporary ashes box as I struggled making this one – dodgy arm meant I had to do a lot of it left handed and it was awkward π Anyway, the top insert is made from Maple with a footprint inset into out of resin, the sides are made from Oak. The inside of the lid has a laser engraved detail π

Another box, this time with a shaped removable lid made out of Tiger Striped Oak, the box itself was made from Jesmo (that’s how the wood was marked when we bought it 20+ years ago though now there are no references online to Jesmo wood), it also has Maple cut into the corners and Steamed Pear for the base.

A different approach to a box, this time in the form of a stack of books. Lid is Elm, the larger book in the stack is Lime, and the smaller (bottom) book is Oak, the inside is lined with Steamed Pear.
