Today I decided to try a couple of Castlerigg Stone Circle paintings, I want to do an oil painting of the stones but time restraints mean I can only manage to rattle out quick watercolours 😉

The best laid plans…
This morning I had a few things planned so I decided against taking the camera out of the bag until everything was sorted. As with all good plans this lasted around 5 minutes then I noticed the Moon starting to drop behind the trees and the mist rising from the fields.

After my trip to Ullswater, it was time to return home and feed the chickens and find something for breakfast, however after feeding the chickens I was distracted by the mist in the valley and the Sun as it poked above the Pennines.

This morning I noticed the Moon looked nice over the fells so I took the camera and tripod down to Ullswater. It was getting fairly low when I reached the lake but I managed a few shots before it vanished.
