It feels like a while since I’ve managed to paint anything so I decided that I should practice a little, I wasn’t wanting to paint anything overly complicated on in depth but just wanted to get some paint down and break a little creative mind block 😉 The easiest solution I came up with was to gather a load of reference images together and pick one at random then have a go at it. That confusing moment…

I started a pen & ink drawing of Rannerdale Knotts as it’s a view I’ve not tried before. So obviously I picked up the watercolours for this pen & ink 😉 anyway, after a bit of splashing paint around I had finished and wasn’t to annoyed by the result which was a nice change. I took a quick scan of it then went to work. Now I look at it on the computer I’m not sure why I thought it was okay, time to go back to the drawing board…
