I’ve had a piece of Oak burr that I’d wanted to do something different with for a while, every time I picked it up nothing suggested itself, then I decided it would make a nice lid for a small box. As our Silver Wedding anniversary was coming up I made it into a gift for my much better half π the burr had quite a few gaps in the grain so these were filled with powered brass mixed with resin. The sides are made from yew with walnut pegged joints.
