*well I hope not anyway 😉 I decided to leave the house a bit earlier than usual in order to watch the Sun rise. It was quite nice to spend a quiet moment down by the river watching the mist swirl above it. Once the Sun appeared it was time to vanish off to work, though I did stop a couple of times to see how the mist filled the valley below.

My morning was pretty much planned, sketch some ideas which had been niggling away at me and then paint. I did eventually sketch a few ideas, but first I was a little distracted by taking photographs of the Sun. There was a fair amount of moisture in the air this morning, and what I had hoped would be wisps of mist in the valley turned out to be thick fog in places. Still after a few false starts (stopping the car as the view looked promising only to discover it wasn’t worth the effort ;-)) I managed a couple of misty sunrise images and some dew covered grass shots.
