We had a wander this morning to look for a stone circle we’ve never visited before, we tried to find it years ago and completely missed it (but then we didn’t have a map or a phone with us ;-)). Luckily we found the Cockpit Stone Circle quite easily this time, was a bit strange visiting it on a busy day for walkers/cyclists/horse riders and for no one else to pause and look at the stone circle.

We had a quick trip out yesterday, down the side of Ullswater and over Kirkstone Pass. It made a nice change to get out with the camera, I could almost remember how to use it 😉
