I started a pen & ink drawing of Rannerdale Knotts as it’s a view I’ve not tried before. So obviously I picked up the watercolours for this pen & ink 😉 anyway, after a bit of splashing paint around I had finished and wasn’t to annoyed by the result which was a nice change. I took a quick scan of it then went to work. Now I look at it on the computer I’m not sure why I thought it was okay, time to go back to the drawing board…

I thought I’d return to Oxford for a little bit of architectural paint time and found a photo I’d taken of the entrance to the Bodleian Library. The painting went well for a change, no issues along the way, that is until I started darkening the outside of the painting – the airbrush clogged, then splurted, then worked well but only for a few seconds…. So, it was either throw the painting into the bin or use photoshop to save it 😉
