Moonlight Magic

Some scenes lend themselves to the moonlight more than others, when I decided to paint a couple of Moon orientated paintings trying to capture the magic of a moonlit Castlerigg Stone Circle was something that sprang to mind almost straight away. Well, to be honest my thoughts went along the lines of – moonlit Shire… moonlit stone circle, having painted the Shire in moonlight it was time to attempt a stone circle. Moonlit Wander

A slight diversion for me but it was quite enjoyable to work on, this was completed for the Moonstruck theme of the month :-)

Obviously it’s a la’l Hobbit having a moonlit wander, well, sometimes a wander along some moonlit lanes is just what the Doctor ordered to relax us ;-)

Earth and Moon from Mars

I’ve often wondered what the Earth and Moon would look like from Mars, and thanks to the HiRISE we can at least get a very good idea.

It’s certainly a site I’ll be returning to just to see what they image next ;-) you never know, one of the images may give me enough inspiration to write something or paint a scene from space :-)

In the third person…
Someone suggested I write something about myself 'in the third person' to head up this column, but what do you write? Perhaps it would be better if someone else really did write this part - so if you know me feel free to write my introduction ;-)
