It took a bit longer than I anticipated but I’ve finally managed to finish the two side tables to go with the coffee table that was completed in August. I only took a photo of one, but then the other just the same 😉

A third of the way
We decided we should have some side tables and a coffee table to match the Morris chair from 2015, since the chair I’ve moved workshops and house 😉 It’s taken a while to get to this stage, not having a great deal of spare time to get into the workshop but after much whittling of large oak boards, the coffee table is now finished.

I decided to try and make an oak box without any metal fixings, well, why not 😉 made a few mistakes along the way and there’s still some fettling to do but I’m happy with the result so far. The wood hinges were interesting to make, and I’d probably do them differently next time.
